The Assessment - Online Only The assessment process consists of evaluating your child's’ emotional and psychological functioning, medical history, and social functioning and is completed by Dr. Renner. Treatment and recommendations for services are determined through the assessment and any additional examinations, tests, procedures, or consultations. Therapy Session - Online Only Individual and family therapy sessions usually last 40 to 45 minutes, and may include the child alone, the child with the parent or other family member, or the parent alone. The participants in the therapy sessions are chosen once it is determined who will be most helpful to include in the therapeutic process. Online session are uniquely designed to engage your child in different game-like activities while learning essential coping skills. |
Group Session - Online Only
Group therapy sessions allow clients to benefit from one another's experiences and provides real time opportunities to practice new social skills. Group therapy sessions usually last for an hour and meet twice a month. Currently, Creative Therapies runs two social skill groups for middle and high school students with ASD focusing on communication, coping, and social skills.
Collaborative Approach:
Creative Therapies collaborates with other professionals involved in the child's treatment, such as psychiatrists, primary care physicians, pediatricians, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and teachers.
